Recap - Wk 1 - Pt 1




Well, there is always going to be a problem when you remodel. I expected it to be the sub-floor (more on that later), but the first problem was the beam that wasn't. Wasn't supporting its weight, wasn't um... actually a beam - that might account for the two inch sag in the roof line - lovely. A brace was put up to put in a new beam - yeah. $$ - boo!. With that done it was "discovered" that the ceiling in the family room had been lowered about 5" for some strange reason - so all that was removed and along w/ it all the insulation that had been blown in - so much for that... oh well... at least people are working on it... and problems are getting corrected.
