We now interrupt you're regularly scheduled renovation blog...

for Hurricane Ida - yep that's right - go figure. We've had nothing so far this season - I mean NOTHING. And now this...
Crap - Tuesday will be a down day for sure and this creates havoc at the office and ... well, let's just say week 4 isn't starting off the way I would have liked...

WTiR: Kitchen Window

This is progress indeed... what a week. Can't wait to see what happens in Week 4 -

WTiR: Casings

So even casing were going in around the doors. I wasn't sure how I would like this when I picked it out, but I really like it and I love the interior doors - they all match and are so just what I wanted...

WTiR: Windows

This should say it all.

WTiR: Island

It has juice... (that's the little blue boxes).

The only question I have now is what color this should be - the wall behind the cabinets that is... white = boring, yellow = overkill (I think), gray = not sure. Maybe something crazy - need to figure this out...

Week Three in Review - Family Room

And here is the family room -- getting the same spray it down w/paint treatment. No wonder this seems to go fast - it's because it actually does go fast. Guess we need to start the pool to see when all this is done. The windows and sliding glass door are hosed down in paint, but who cares because they are going by by and soon as we shall see.

Week Three in Review - Kitchen

Well, week three has come and gone and there was much progress made... starting where, exactly is hard to do since it seems that everything was happening at one time. To recap:

After a bit of slow start - waiting on trim -
Painting started:

And it goes really quick when you don't have worry about paint going all over the bloody place - I mean just spray away - hit the windows, not a problem. Spray the floor - no one cares. Spray the trim - doesn't matter as it will be painted over anyway ... I could like this, but the work will come eventually when the second coat goes on. Oh, and the primer went on the same way, but not an interesting image really -- spraying white paint on a white wall.

I had the inside of the pantries painted white - it just seems to make the most sense to get as much light into those spaces as possible.
