We never used the fireplace much... and it made the room so difficult to arrange because it's a focal point whether you want it to be or not. So it's gone away. Here is it's demise. I wish I had been here. I bet it was fun and would have enjoyed taking a whack or two at it.
Several of the bricks were saved and were used to patch the area where the two exhaust vents busted through the wall. These guys did an excellent job too. If you didn't know it was a patch job, you wouldn't know it was a patch job.
